a5c7b9f00b Spoiled billionaire playboy Oliver Queen is missing and presumed dead when his yacht is lost at sea. He returns five years later a changed man, determined to clean up the city as a hooded vigilante armed with a bow. After many years in a sheltered, rich boy life, Oliver Queen is stranded on an island after his father's yacht crashes. He must learn to survive on his own, five years later he is found alive and well after he was presumed to be dead. After he returns to his home city of Starling City, he begins his crusade to rid his home city of nasty villains, drug dealers, mob bosses, and criminals by becoming an arrow shooting vigilante. Watching Arrow TV series has been a pleasure for me, as I am a fan of such movies, but with every next series I have that feeling and approval of my feeling, that I have seen such scenario already before!

Let's start with the introduction part! Haven't you seen such scenario already before?: Millionaire playboy is missing-presumed-dead. He returns ... years later as a changed man, determined to clean up the city as a .... armed with a ... . This is almost 100% the same scenario as Batman. After introduction - main guidelines goes into Spider-man trilogy. If you remember the Spider-man trilogy, then you know that all goes something like that: 1. Two best friends - one girl; (same here) 2. The good guy gets some skills and fights against the evil in the city; 3. The girl starts to meet the other guy, but the good guy still loves her. 4. The good guy in hero costume saves The girl, and she fells in love with the hero, not knowing who he is; 5. The hero gets in fight with his friends dad, who appears to be the evil of the city (some moments before you get to know that evil dad has a secret room with his evil costume inside, that the son almost sees). 6. Evil dad has a big fight with a hero and after this fight he knows who the Hero really is. (same here) next part still has not been shown, but it seems that it will include those things: 7. Hero has a last fight with Evil dad, in which Evil dad gets killed; 8. Son of the evil dad gets to know who was the killer, he also somehow finds the secret room and the costume; 9. The son starts his revenge tour around the city and also goes into evil dad's steps. etc.

So hopefully the ending of the TV series will be original or at least taken from some different movie than spider-man. Many years ago Oliver Queen known tabloid playboy and perennial feature on page 6 of Starling City's local newspaper has been lost for five years on an uncharted island, the last survivor of yacht that sank. All others are dead including Queen's girlfriend of the moment and his father played by Jamey Sheridan.

Played by Stephen Amell Queen may on the surface look and act like the old playboy, but he's a lot more physically fit and he's got some fighting skills. At night when he's working he becomes the Arrow clad in Robin Hood like Lincoln Green. He who is a child of privilege uses now his fighting skills developed and the billion or three he's got control of to become the people's champion.

Arrow is darker than most comic and cinema superheroes and Amell plays him that way. He's not got any super powers just some highly developed skills.

The show's been on for five years now and it's got good staying power. Amell is a hero, but a most human one. I look forward to its future. The Arrow is based on the DC Comics character, The Green Arrow, created by Morton Weisinger and designed by George Papp, which first appeared in More Fun Comics #73 in November 1941.

The character was originally a backup strip in the comics who is a millionaire playboy with a sidekick called Speedy and distinctive equipment such as gadget arrows, an Arrowcar and an Arrowplane. As such, the character had a long and largely undistinguished publishing history except for his inclusion into the Justice League series and a short run of stories by the important comics artist, Jack Kirby, years before his most famous work at Marvel Comics.

That changed when the innovative comics artist, Neal Adams, completely redesigned the look of the character in 1969, most notably by giving him a distinctive Van Dyke beard. This change inspired his frequent collaborator, writer Dennis O'Neil, to change the premise of the character by having him lose his fortune and becoming an ardent leftist political activist devoted to helping the underprivileged as a combination of Robin Hood and the Yippie political activist, Abbie Hoffman. This character became much more popular as a result such as giving him a famous series of socially conscious stories in the early 1970s with Green Lantern and later his own various solo comic book series.

This character has appeared in animation before this TV series version appeared on Smallville, such as the first incarnation of SuperFriends, Justice League Unlimited and a DC Comics Showcase short. John Diggle was the first person back in the main city to find out Oliver's secret. It was at the end of the third episode in Season 1. Yes. In the DC comics continuity, he is a member of the Great Ten, a Chinese superhero team similar to the Justice League (2001). Codenamed Da Yi Zhe Wan (Accomplished Perfect Physician), he is the team's healer and diplomat. He was not involved in Green Arrow's training, and many of his abilities were magical in nature.

In the TV series continuity, Yao does not have any magical or metahuman powers, but is instead a master martial artist, having more in common with another Great Ten member, the Celestial Archer. However, he does retain the military and medical background of his comics counterpart. Kyudo (Japanese for "Way of the bow"), a mixture of archery and martial arts popularized by the samurai of feudal Japan (though it may have actually been Chinese in origin). During his sparring sessions with Slade and Diggle, and when he trains in his dojo in the Arrowcave, he uses Eskrima, a Filipino martial art that usually involves improvised melee weapons.
